China Central Television’s new system will reach over one billion viewers
CCTV, who broadcasts to a massive audience in excess of one billion viewers, has chosen the XOR Media MSV-G state-of-art integrated broadcast video server platform complete with advanced real-time graphics and DVE to air 20 HD channels. The cost effective all-in-one solution provides high production value for their vast programming of content covering sports, music, entertainment, theater and movies.
The MSV-G provides up to 4 branded channel outputs per compact 3RU chassis. The system can simultaneously play-out HD-SDI as well as HLS IP video streams and can support up to 48TB of RAID-6 protected storage. The graphics capability supports internal and external branding templates, real-time 3D objects design, 3D particle generator, motion speed control as well as preset animation programming and DVE. The platform provides video routing to enable switching between live feeds and the video server’s playlist. To scale the solution all video and branding files can are centrally stored on XOR Media’s UMLe shared streaming media storage system. MSV-G systems connect to the UMLe via GigE network infrastructure to source content.
